After running our initial TAG cource in 2006 which was attended by 35 local parents and teachers,
club president Jim Williams had the follwing to say -
"Kings Norton RFC will follow up the course by supporting the local schools with
equipment and Kings Norton Volunteer coaches will visit the schools to help
with training sessions.
The children will then be invited to attend training sessions at Kings Norton's
Club in ash Lane Hopwood on Saturday Mornings at 10 am".
Regular training sessions are held every Saturday morning during the rugby season
and are increasing in popularity. Anyone interested in playing or coaching in these sessions
is more than welcome to come along. Due to official rules,
sessions may occasionally be cancelled because of weather constraints etc. Please call
the club on 0121 445 3340 before you set off if you plan to travel any distance.
For all you old farts out there, we now run a Tuesday evening session for the older player, so if you fancy a go at rugby
but dont want all the injuries, or you are a retired player of senior years just wanting to get back in, come along and try it out.
All you need is a pair of trainers and a t-shirt (shorts or trackies obviously cos we are a family club!!)
